Becoming part of the CTN will connect you with health care organizations and care sites throughout California through a high speed medical grade broadband connection. If you are a clinic or hospital in a rural area, this means you can obtain clinical services via telemedicine in addition to obtaining clinical education programming, access to national disease registries and other valuable services. If you are a urban clinician, you will be able to provide telemedicine services to patient sites around the state.

Communities benefit by having increased access to clinical services including specialty medical care by clinicians at distant sites, emergency room and intensive care consultation, video-interpreter services, telepharmacy, in-home monitoring, disaster response and other innovative clinical services. In addition, provider and patient education services as well as access to national health care registries and databases will be available.
