Senior Communications Officer, Office of Health Equity
Dante Allen is the Senior Communications Officer for the Office of Health Equity in the California Department of Public Health. He has responsibility for strategic communication including the development and implementation of a branding and communications plan to support the strategic plan and mission of the Office of Health Equity to promote equitable social, economic and environmental conditions to achieve optimal health, mental health and well-being for all. Dante is also responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships to further the OHE mission and overall objectives.
Dante has an extended career in health care and strategic communications, from serving as the director of communications for the President and Chief Operating Officer of Kaiser Permanente, a $50 billion health care organization with more than 150,000 employees, to leading the marketing and communications efforts of local hospitals. Dante received a master’s degree in Communications Management from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communication and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Davis.
